We recently caught up with the beautiful and talented Fanta Celah for a tete-a-tete to discuss her original and latest hairstyle.

To say that she is turning heads will be an understatement because it is trendsetters like Celah who are rocking the freshest looks around the country. She comes across as daring, bold, or chic but when it comes to hair, she does not follow trends – she sets them.

Call Celah’s hairstyle whatever you want; braids, twists, locks, coils, free form it really doesn’t matter because she has a name for it – Cosmic Crown. Her Cosmic Crown took about half a day to complete. When it comes to the hair products that she uses, lately, she has been using Dr. Bronner's Peppermint soap as her shampoo. She follows the shampooing with Nature's Blessings pomade on her scalp & roots.

On the issue of how much time was required to style the firm Cosmic Crown, Celah said it takes her about 2 hours and it can be worn for 2-3 weeks.

On the issue of what prompted her Cosmic Crown, Celah said, “Well the epiphany came 3 years back. At the time, I was wearing a zig zag design, and then my intuition told me to do a spiral design.  I personally thought that it would look crazy, so I didn't do the design until 3 weeks later.  And the rest is history.”

Celah also added, “I am now a 'walking sculpture,' or a 'walking billboard' for my company.  It just gives me so much more freedom, since my hair hangs to my hips.  And my hopes are to inspire woman all over the world to either keep their locks, when they feel that they've grown 'too long', or free them from hair bondage & give them a beautiful alterative to chemically treated styles.”

Celah is the brainchild behind the jewelry line, The Supreme Self Love Collection. She is also a modern surrealist painter.
